Dominican prospect of the Yankees threw monticular jewel in the Caribbean Series

The prospect of the Yankees de New York, Luis Medina, launched a monticular gem against Mexico in the Caribbean Series.

Luis Medina is the 11th prospect of the Yankees according MLB PIpeline, had to pitch in the Puerto Rico League after not being drafted in the Dominican League by any of the six teams.

Now he was making his second start in this Caribbean series for Puerto Rico, pitching 5 innings with a run and 7 strikeouts. According to Jon Morosi, Medina was pitching up to 98 mph fastballs and up to 90 mile change. Some breaking throws with average speed and good breaks.

Medina 6’1 tall and 21 years old, a native of Nagua, has just thrown 10.2 innings in advanced Class-A, leaving the ERA at 0.84, showing that he is a league inferior to him.
