The Colombian cyclist Nairo Quintana will travel to Europe this Sunday to face the 2021 season with his team, the Arkea-Samsic of France, with clear objectives of running two of the three big races.
Nairo will travel alongside his brother, Dáyer, Wínner Anacona and Miguel Eduardo Flórez, the latest addition to the team and who will be his help in the high mountains.
The Quintana trip, however, does not take place at the best time, since His father, Luis, who tested positive for coronavirus, is in the ICU of the San Rafael de Tunja University Hospital.
Quintana will debut in the VAR Tour, from February 19-21, competition in which he prevailed last year.

The Boyacá rider comes from a recovery, after the operation of the knees, after finishing in box 17 in the Tour de France last season.
Nairo has not competed since the Tour ended, as almost immediately he had to undergo medical treatment and then began intensive therapy.
This year his main objective will be the Tour de France, a race to which his squad, as announced by the organization in recent days.
