The team continues the reorganization, which is not going down well with the players

The Houston Texans they continue to tell teams that lick, that they do not want to trade Deshaun Watson, League sources informed ESPN, while the confrontation between the team and the franchise quarterback continues.

Watson still wants out of Houston and has asked the Texans to trade him, according to informants. But no matter how many calls they get, the Texans insist they won’t change it.

Others NFL teams have gotten that message and now hope to see the Texans’ stance change.

As speculation continues regarding Watson, the Texans are making progress on organizational changes. Last week, managing director Kevin Krajcovic, team manager Mike Parson and his staff, and another longtime employee, Doug West, were laid off.

Parson is said to have had a close relationship with Watson, and these changes are not going down well with players.

“Mike Parson and his entire team are amazing people who went above and beyond to help each play in the locker room every day,” defender JJ Watt tweeted.

A player commented privately to ESPN that the Texans are shedding employees who were not hired by Executive Vice President Jack Easterby and new General Manager Nick Caserio, replacing them with employees who will be indebted to them for their work.

These changes are not expected to help improve Watson’s situation.

Deshaun, who signed a four-year, $ 156 million contract extension in September, is under contract through the 2025 season. Has a no-trade clause, but given the duration of your contract and the possibility of labeling it as a franchise for three years, the Texans could choose not to trade him and would have control of his rights until the 2028 season.

The change request comes after Watson was dissatisfied with the team’s process for hiring Caserio in early January.
