The arbitration of Bryan López was criticized on social networks by fans of Guastatoya and Municipal, who described their performance as “bad” in the first leg final, which was won by the local team 2-1.

The followers of both clubs were very active on social networks during the 90 minutes of the game. In these instances, the away goal or position in the table does not count, so the key is open for the return game to be played next Sunday at El Trébol (11 am).

The first controversial play he arrived at minute 23, when the score was already 2-1 in favor of the yellow chest.

Guastatoya was clearer in attack at that time and in a play in the area the red player Luis de León tries to head the ball, but touches it with his hand.

But what would have been marked in that play if the VAR existed in Guatemala? Former referee Jonathan Polanco, who is dedicated to analyzing controversial national football plays, assures that it was a penalty in favor of Guastatoya.

The second play occurred in the second half (minute 65). Omar Dominguez tries to steal the ball from Janderson Pereira and fouls him inside the area. According to Polanco, after reviewing the video repeatedly, López should have scored a penalty in favor of Municipal.
